Bunk Bedding

Parenting is never easy right. One of the most important aspects of this work is to keep your children safe from harm. Even sleeping at night can be both serious and not serious threats. Each year thousands of children experience accidents involving bunk beds. Most injuries are minor, but it is not uncommon to see serious injuries from accidents such as falling from the top bunk, or suffocation on railings guard (although this is rare).

The next part of this article will examine some of the most common sources of injury from bunk beds, and things you can do to prevent them, thus keeping your child safe at night during their sleep.

One of the most common threats to child safety in regard to use of bunk beds is the railing. They are a concern both because it is not properly installed, they can pose potential serious injuries. For example, if the rail is cons – too low, there is a chance that your child may fall from the top bunk during sleep (especially if he or she rolls continuously during sleep). In addition, if the gauge between the guardrails and the bunk beds are too large, then there are chances that a child's head can become entrapped between the two, which in rare cases can cause suffocation. Fortunately, all the bunk beds that are made must now pass a U.S. safety inspection. If accepted, they will receive a certificate which said that the bunk bed meets the highest safety standards. This greatly increases security safety barriers which will reduce the number of accidents caused by bunk beds.

Top bunk support:

It is important to get the right size mattress for the bunk bed because bad size mattress can cause falls, or increase the gap between the safety rails and frame.

– That your bunk bed has guardrails on all four sides.

– The gap between the mattress and the bottom of cons-rail does not exceed 3.5 inches (89 mm).

– Guard rails extend at least 5 inches (127 mm) above the surface of the mattress to prevent the child from falling.

– To verify that constantly bunk bed is solid.

Other recommendations:

– Replace or repair broken parts immediately.

– If the gap between the rail and the bed frame is larger than 3.5 inches (as shown above), nail or screw another rail to prevent the head of a child connection between the gap.
